Submit an abstract to secure your place
Attendance is free and places are limited. All participants are asked to submit an abstract for a talk or poster. If you wish to attend without presenting, please email the organisers at [email protected] with a brief note on your background and interest in the workshop.
How it works
- Submit your abstract using the abstract submission form, by 15 January 2027: a title and a PDF of up to 400 words, and whether you prefer an oral or a poster presentation.
- The committee reviews abstracts and confirms places by email.
- Two weeks before the workshop we send the datasets and set-up instructions for the hands-on sessions.
Topics
We welcome abstracts on seismic monitoring of geothermal energy, CO₂ storage, underground hydrogen storage and related subsurface operations, including:
- Earthquake catalogs, completeness and statistics of induced seismicity
- Velocity models and seismic imaging of reservoirs
- Detection and location of microseismicity, network design
- Distributed acoustic sensing, seismic interferometry and ambient noise
- Case studies from operating sites
Travel grants
A limited number of travel grants are available, prioritising researchers from countries where seismic monitoring programmes for geological storage, including CCS and UHS, and geothermal energy are still developing. Indicate in the abstract form that you need funding, and add a short motivation and a recommendation letter (PDF). Selection criteria will be published before the deadline.
